HOLIDAY COWBOY

 It has been quite a while since i posted something here. Again, I would like to apologize. Both work and school papers occupied me... leaving me no time to update this personal space. Recently, i changed phones and was able to find a way to keep you guys updated. INSTAGRAM. Yes, you can follow me gab_atlaw through your IG accounts.

Anyway, about this look... this is what i wore for a church event. No dress code was implemented so i opted to go comfy and style at the same time. I wore buttoned down in purple with reindeer prints (just to keep the holiday spirit alive), and then matched it up with some khakis (GIORDANO) . Now to keep it from being dull and uber comfy, i wore my old (very old) boots. Also, i went for minimal blings. All from LI's Closet! Featured here  is their upcoming twentythirteen collection. I know i've promised a lot of times that i shall blog as often as possible...and i know that i've been failing to do that. This may sound too familiar but i've been very busy with school plus the fact that i'll be moving to a new work place (oh diba valid naman?!). Promise talaga... i will keep you guys posted! totoo na to! :)

Anyhow, instead of whining, here's a simple look i made for a busy day. NAVY is one of my favorite colors. Like black, it brings out that sophisticated classy look to a person without the "init" factor. The white polka dots on this button down made this look playful. To match the dots on my shirt, i wore Li's Closet' s latest bling collection. They even made my shot one of their ads! here:

Shots were taken last November 3, also known as the MOST IMPORTANT DAY of the year for US! It is our anniversary! We decided to not over celebrate it. Seriously. Because we're too busy we decided to have lunch and have a quick HAPPY MOMENT at Chez Karine.

And because we do not want to over celebrate it, I decided not to over-dress for it. I pulled together the simplest pieces i could get from my trunk. However, going simple can be boring too, so I decided to put on my ever dependent Camo Boots and some BLINGS from Li's Closet.

Good thing BLINGS are here to the rescue! I personally invest on BLINGS (I would suggest you do too). It doesn't have be that expensive! You just have to remember your own kind of style and the type of clothes you have so that you can use them repeatedly.

Some changes are going to happen... and by just looking at it, I can already tell you that it'll be FABULOUS.

HIPPIE HEY HEY

Every time i see Paisleys, i immediately think of HIPPIE. Staring at the patterns it randomly form makes me feel uninhibited and free! I am also loving the colors put together to brighten up the intricate patterns. Paisley or Paisley pattern is a droplet-shaped vegetable motif of Persian origin. The pattern is sometimes called "Persian pickles" by American traditionalists, especially quilt makers or "Welsh pears" in Welsh textiles as far back as 1888. (ah pala...)

I've never considered my self being a "free-spirited" individual... (because i'm very uptight and control freak, lol) but as soon as i tried this shirt on at a friend's shop, i immediately turned into something else (yes dear, something else!!!).
